Healthy Food Poster

Standards: NJCCS 2.1. Wellness

Objectives:

  • Students will be able to create a healthy food poster for one day.
  • Students will be able to pick healthy snack choices.
  • Students will be able to pick a physical activity.
  • Students will be able to create a poster illustrating healthy diet for one day including a choice of physical activity.

Materials:

  • Poster paper.
  • Grocery’s coupon paper.
  • Sports magazine.

Skills:

  • Ability to create healthy diet.
  • Ability to pick healthy snack.
  • Ability to pick an exercise.

Procedure:

Introductory Activity: Explain today’s activity. Present magazines and distribute poster papers.

Developmental Activity: Students are working individually in constructing poster paper with one-day healthy diet including physical activity.

Teacher will circulate around the room and provide help to any student who is in need.

Concluding Activity: None.

Assessment:

For homework, students will continue with their poster project.
