Diseases Objectives

Eighth topic of Health Curriculum is diseases unit with diseases objectives. In this unit students will learn about germs, preventive techniques, ways of strengthening immunity, and much more. Also, it identifies objectives with Bloom’s Taxonomy learning domains.

Diseases objectives and outcomes:

  • Students will describe the types of germs that cause disease. (Knowledge, comprehension)
  • Students will explain how viruses differ from other germs. (Knowledge, comprehension, evaluation)
  • Students will identify the major routes for the spread of infectious diseases and give examples of diseases spread through each route. (Knowledge, comprehension)
  • Students will describe two main types of defenses used by the immune system. (Knowledge, comprehension)
  • Students will manage the items like pencils and pens should be handled to prevent the spread of diseases. (Knowledge, comprehension, synthesis)
  • Students will describe the cause, means of transmission, symptoms, and treatment for common infectious diseases. (Knowledge, comprehension)
  • Students will be able to choose diseases that are commonly treated with antibiotics. (Knowledge, Application)
  • Students will tell and examine why the protective barrier of your skin is not effective against disease carried by mosquitoes. (Knowledge, comprehension, analysis)
  • The students will interpret why drinking fluids is important when someone has a cold or other infectious diseases. (Knowledge, application)
